Who We Are
Founded in 1991, Hands On Charlotte is a charter member of the Hands On Network

There are more than 60 Hands On Network affiliates in the United States and abroad. With proven models for successful civic engagement, the Hands On Network strives to continue developing entrepreneurial strategies for bridging community resources and needs. What We Do
Throughout the year, Hands On Charlotte provides direct volunteer service to the Charlotte community. We help homeless families, guide at-risk youth, tutor disadvantaged children, feed the hungry, care for our environment and so much more. Our volunteers address our community's most pressing needs through direct service.
Hands On Charlotte offers a variety of meaningful volunteer projects that benefits the citizens of Charlotte. We provide volunteers with flexible volunteer opportunities to create positive change. We simplify the process by organizing and promoting more than 40 volunteer opportunities to make community service accessible to all.
Our Values
Five core values drive our mission:
- Hands On Charlotte believes volunteer service is at the heart of citizenship.
- Hands On Charlotte believes that the needs of the community are best met by a diverse corps of volunteers.
- Hands On Charlotte believes that collaborating with individuals, community and faith-based organizations and businesses is essential to strengthening our community.
- Hands On Charlotte believes that volunteers enrich their own lives and the lives of those being served when they address our community's social, educational and environmental needs.
- Hands On Charlotte believes in providing today's volunteers with flexible and meaningful opportunities to create positive change.
