Who We Are
Founded in 1991, Hands On Charlotte is a charter member
of the Hands On Network (handsonnetwork.org). The Network expands and
supports an international, innovative alliance of volunteer organizations
working to build community through service and civic engagement. There
are more than 60 Hands On Network affiliates in the United States and
abroad. With proven models for successful civic engagement, the Hands
On Network strives to continue developing entrepreneurial strategies for
bridging community resources and needs. Network affiliates deliver real
and measurable community impact by mobilizing volunteers to participate
in flexible, creative, individual and team based hands-on service. For

What We Do
Throughout the year, Hands On Charlotte provides direct
volunteer service to the Charlotte community. We help homeless families,
guide at-risk youth, tutor disadvantaged children, feed the hungry, care
for our environment and so much more. Our volunteers address our community's
most pressing needs through direct service.
Hands On Charlotte offers a variety of meaningful volunteer
projects that benefits the citizens of Charlotte. We provide volunteers
with flexible volunteer opportunities to create positive change. We simplify
the process by organizing and promoting more than 40 volunteer opportunities
to make community service accessible to all.
